At BPF, we believe every successful ERP journey begins with a deep understanding of how our clients work — and what they want to achieve. From family-run distributors to multi-entity construction groups, we partner with organisations across Ireland to build stable, scalable, and future-ready systems that drive growth and resilience.
On this page, you’ll find a selection of real-world projects where we’ve helped businesses transform their finance, operations, and reporting. Each case study highlights the challenges our clients faced, the practical steps we took together, and the success they achieved.
Whether you’re exploring ERP for the first time or fine-tuning an existing system, these stories show what’s possible with a trusted partner at your side.
FarmHand
Farmhand Ltd, a family-run agricultural machinery distributor established in 1962, had earned a strong reputation across Ireland and Northern Ireland. However, their existing finance and operations systems were no longer keeping pace with the demands of a growing customer base and increasingly complex product lines.
They faced significant challenges around real-time visibility, reliable reporting, and streamlined warehouse processes. Their previous systems created bottlenecks, leaving teams without the confidence to make decisions based on solid data. Additionally, the lack of integration between their online sales platform, warehouse scanning tools, and back-office ERP meant that valuable time and resources were often wasted on duplicated data entry and error-prone manual processes.
Farmhand needed a modern, stable system that could evolve with their business, while minimising disruption and ensuring the trust of long-standing customers.
BPF Consulting partnered closely with Farmhand to address these challenges in a phased, considered way. Starting with a thorough review of how Farmhand’s business processes worked, BPF developed an improvement roadmap that prioritised stability and usability.
The first step was to strengthen Farmhand’s ERP backbone through Microsoft Business Central, ensuring it could serve as a single, trusted source of financial and operational data. From there, BPF supported integrations with the SANA webshop and Tasklet warehouse scanners, aligning online sales and logistics with the ERP in a cohesive ecosystem.
Throughout the project, BPF worked hand-in-hand with Farmhand’s team, carefully planning enhancements and avoiding rushed, poorly scoped developments. This collaborative approach meant Farmhand’s staff could adapt confidently, without feeling overwhelmed by change.
By combining deep industry experience with a holistic view of Farmhand’s operations, BPF provided practical, incremental improvements that delivered immediate benefits while laying the groundwork for future growth.</br
Today, Farmhand has a far more stable and resilient finance and operations platform, with Microsoft Business Central at its core. Their team can rely on consistent, accurate data, supporting smarter, faster decision-making across finance, sales, and logistics.
The successful integration of the SANA webshop and Tasklet warehouse scanners has removed data silos and streamlined their entire order-to-delivery process. Warehouse staff work more efficiently, customers benefit from quicker turnaround, and online sales feed directly into a centralised ERP without manual re-entry.
According to Farmhand’s Director, Stephen Scrivener, working with BPF gave them confidence that every change was right for their business. That trust helped avoid wasted development time and enabled sustainable, meaningful improvements.
With a rock-solid ERP foundation and an experienced partner to guide future system evolution, Farmhand is well-positioned to keep growing and serving the Irish agricultural community for decades to come.

NetZero Group
Net Zero Group Ireland is a dynamic collective of companies — including Gaffney’s Mechanical, O’Connors P&H, and Caldor Solar — working in mechanical, electrical, and retrofit projects across Ireland. As the group expanded rapidly through multiple acquisitions, they found themselves operating with a patchwork of disconnected financial and project management systems.
Each company had its own way of handling finance, project tracking, and reporting, which led to fragmented processes and significant visibility gaps. Leadership struggled to gain a clear, real-time view of financial health or project performance across the group, making growth decisions harder to manage.
On top of this, inconsistent data and manual reconciliations increased the risk of errors and delayed reporting, while also consuming valuable time and resources. The group needed a single, scalable platform to unify these functions and help them keep pace with Ireland’s accelerating net-zero ambitions.
BPF Consulting partnered with Net Zero Group Ireland to design and deliver a modern, scalable ERP transformation. After a comprehensive review of their financial and project processes, we recommended Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central enhanced with 4PS — a powerful add-on built specifically for the construction and project industries.
Our team guided a structured rollout plan, ensuring each company in the group could move to the new platform with minimal disruption. The implementation focused on centralising financial controls, embedding project revenue and cost management, and streamlining reporting across Finance and Commercial functions.
By working collaboratively with the group’s leadership and project teams, BPF ensured that system changes were practical, well-understood, and aligned with each company’s day-to-day operations. We placed a strong emphasis on user training and change management, giving stakeholders the confidence to embrace the new, unified approach.
Today, Net Zero Group Ireland operates with a far more connected, transparent, and reliable ERP platform, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with 4PS. The group has gained a consolidated view of financial performance and project cost control across all their entities, allowing leadership to make faster, data-driven decisions.
Project managers benefit from unified revenue and cost tracking, reducing administrative overhead and improving the accuracy of forecasts. Finance teams now work from a single source of truth, eliminating duplication and streamlining month-end close and project reporting.
Most importantly, the scalable ERP foundation has positioned the group to continue its growth journey, supporting future acquisitions and expansion efforts with confidence. BPF’s collaborative, hands-on approach helped Net Zero Group modernise their systems without losing sight of the unique strengths that made their individual businesses successful.
With this stability and clarity, the group is better equipped to deliver on Ireland’s ambitious net-zero targets and meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving construction and retrofit sector.
